I have been a very bad blogger. For whatever reason I have lost my spark for blogging and it has now been a month since my last post. This is bad, very bad, especially since some pretty fun moments have happened since then and I need to post about them so I remember them. I am following the lead of my sweet friend Nichole over at Chloe's Chronicle and doing a bit of back (b)logging. I hope you'll bear with me as I reflect on events of February and March! I promise to recommit myself to blogging and get with the program!

So to start: S2H celebrated year 26 back in February and I never posted about the delish meal and cake I made!! We had a yummy meal of fillet mignon with our favorite HT garlic bread and green beans and peanut butter cake!! Recipes here & here

Pale or Reflecting Light?

Ok people, I don't think I can take this weather much more. If it's not snowing then it's monsoon rains! I am so sun deprived there is no miracle bronzer in all of Sephora to help me! Yesterday I wore a skirt without black tights for the first time in months...it was not good. Even S2H chuckled as my legs reflected the partly sunny light! Very bad when even your boy can't keep a straight face! My only hope is that I have a little over a month until I head down to Florida for a much needed beach weekend. Til then I'll be dreaming of the picture of above...lets all take a moment to sigh...sun, please come back soon!

So over the phone

How do people manage long distance relationships? I am so in awe of people who can make it work no matter mountains, oceans, time zones or coasts. S2H has been gone 7 days and I am currently counting down the hours til he gets home tomorrow night. I am just not good at being on the phone and I never feel completely connected during our conversations or text messages. I just get off the phone and want more. So all you long distance love birds...how do you manage with all the miles?? Do you skype, watch tv over the phone, make a list during the day of things you want to mention...tell me, what keeps you sane!?

Am I getting old or is Land's End getting cool?

Happy Saturday blog world! Today is admittedly a lazy day for me. I stayed in my pjs for about 5 hours and then contemplated a run for a few hours and finally forced myself outside. The weather was great but my run...not so much...I need to get my butt in gear this month before my 10 mile race! Yikes!
Anyways, during my lazy morning (ahem, afternoon) I had some time to catch up on my blog reading. My sweet JMU friend from Off the Hanger had a great posting that lead me to the Land's End website. Have you been to the old classic, Land's End, website lately? When I think LE I think of the mock turtle necks my grandma buys there every fall. Well I was shocked when I viewed LE's new Canvas 1963 line. Their summer clothes are refreshing and make me want to go grab my Sperry's and hop on a sailboat. Well I haven't been sailing since grade school but I do have an April beach trip and here a few things I have my eye on.
